Machias Bechan L.M.T. has been professionally, purposefully, and peacefully providing Massage Therapy since 2009. She recently moved to Boise and joined the Ashamenta team to grow her own practice. She was working in a beautiful four diamond resort spa for five years providing incredibly luxurious spa services! Now she’s excited to share them with us! 

Machias' skills also include TMJD and Intraoral massage. This massage is excellent for those who could use help with myofascial pain, internal derangement of the joint, and/or degenerative joint disease.  Intraoral massage is also helpful in relieving strain on the jaw joints and the muscles groups that controls chewing, swallowing, and speech. 

Prenatal Massage Therapy

The benefits help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. 

Throughout the years in practice her knowledge, wisdom, confidence and intuition have grown immensely. In turn, her massage has evolved into a fluid, quiet, multidimensional, cohesive healing experience for the mind, body and Spirit.

She sees herself as a conduit providing a safe space for her recipients to let go of the burdens & limitations of our three dimensional world. With the intention of reconnecting with the higher self & each client's individual Higher Power. Ultimately encouraging profound & authentic healing.

•TMJD Intraoral massage for TMJ pain relief.

•Palliative/End of life care massage. *Onsite service is available for this treatment if best for the recipient. The duration & rate of treatment are determined on a case by case basis. 

Machias has been a nurturer for as long as she can recall. She comes from a long line of women healers. Nearly every female ancestor has worked in healthcare.

 In 2009 she successfully completed 700+hrs of education at the Nationally Accredited, Denton School of Massage. A short time later, she acquired her NCBTMB & Washington State Licensed Massage Therapist Certifications.   

At a young age she realized she had an affinity for seniors which lead her to become a caregiver. That eventually evolved into Hospice work and later into volunteering seated massage at Senior Living Facilities. Hence the Palliative/End of life care massage training. 

In addition to caregiving she's also worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for 12yrs before attending her community's Massage Therapy program. Therefore, the TMJD Intraoral massage technique training was a natural progression as she is very familiar with the anatomy and mechanics of the TMJ. 

Machias Bechan LMT was born and raised in the Puget Sound area of NW Washington. She remained there until she moved to South Carolina in 2020 to reunite her longtime love. She practiced there until recently when they were Divinely guided back to the PNW! They now happily reside in the outskirts of Boise. 

When she's at play Machias loves music, dance, exercise, comedy & nature! She, her partner Jeremy and pup Kbear can be found exploring trails, kayaking, biking & camping with wonder & gratitude of Mother's Earth's sacred, beautiful creations!
